The sacred energy of the Ganges welcomes you. Haridwar, known as the "Gateway to God", offers a perfect spiritual beginning. Attend the mesmerizing evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri—a spectacle of light, chants and the scent of incense that sets the tone for your sacred journey ahead. Overnight at the hotel.
After an early breakfast check out and drive to Syanachatti. Arrive by late afternoon and check into the guest house/hotel. Rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at the guest house/hotel.
Early morning after breakfast leave for Kharsali – Winter Seat of Goddess Yamuna. You begin your ascent into the Himalayan foothills, tracing the river Yamuna. The drive to Kharsali, nestled near Barkot, is lined with pine forests and mountain villages. In winter, this charming village becomes the spiritual home of Goddess Yamuna, whose idol is lovingly brought from the Yamunotri shrine. Visit the Shani Dev Temple, a beautifully crafted stone temple where the Yamuna idol resides for winter worship. After that drive to Barsu. Arrive by evening and check into the guest house/hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Mukhwa – Winter Seat of Goddess Ganga. Journey to the enchanting valley of Harsil, draped in snow and silence. Just above lays Mukhba village, where the idol of Goddess Ganga is brought for the winter. The air is crisp, and the Bhagirathi River flows gracefully beside you. The small temple at Mukhba resonates with simplicity and devotion. Local Brahmins, keepers of the Gangotri tradition, perform daily rituals here amid the quiet grandeur of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in Barsu/Harsil.
After breakfast drive through river valleys and remote hill towns to reach Guptkashi, a sacred town along the Mandakini River. This is your gateway to the winter home of Lord Kedarnath. The journey is long but mesmerizing, passing through Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. Optional: Stop at Triyuginarayan Temple (wedding site of Shiva and Parvati) if accessible. Check into the guest house in Guptakashi/Ukhimath.
(The stay will be either at Guptakashi or Ukhimath)
After breakfast, visit the abode of Lord Kedarnath during winter. The ancient Omkareshwar Temple is where the idol from Kedarnath is worshipped by the same priests who serve at the main shrine. The temple rituals are peaceful, often accompanied by the sound of temple bells echoing through the valley. It’s a moment of deep connection—standing before Shiva in his winter home, far from the crowds.
Today’s drive is a spiritual tapestry, winding past Chopta, Chamoli, and Nandprayag—each town with its unique energy and stories. You’ll reach Joshimath, a major pilgrimage center and winter seat of Lord Badrinath. In the afternoon visit Narsingh Temple, Here, the deity is worshipped amidst glowing lamps and the sound of ancient chants. The temple is humble but holds powerful spiritual resonance. Visit the Adi Shankaracharya Math and the ancient Kalpavriksha, believed to be over 2,000 years old.
Take a short 18 km drive uphill toward Pandukeshwar, believed to be the meditation site of King Pandu, father of the Pandavas. Visit: Yog Dhyan Badri Temple, one of the Sapta Badri shrines and a sacred stop on the Badri Kshetra circuit. In winter, the road might be partially closed due to snow. Local guides or light trekking may be needed.
Bid farewell to the snowy peaks as you descend toward Rishikesh, the land of sages. Along the way, stop at the confluences of the Panch Prayags—each a sacred meeting of rivers, each vibrating with its own myth. Arrive in Rishikesh by evening. Walk the Ghats, or sit quietly by the river, absorbing the culmination of your spiritual journey. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit some temples in Rishikesh, followed by a drop at the airport to depart with memories of a rare and soulful pilgrimage that few undertake. This Yatra offers not just temple visits, but an immersion into inner silence, devotion, and Himalayan grace.
