Itinerary

Arrive Bangalore, India’s vibrant garden city and gateway to the Western Ghats. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Relax for some time and enjoy a gentle introduction to South India with a stroll through Lalbagh Botanical Garden or Cubbon Park, green oases that reflect the city’s colonial past and cosmopolitan present. Evening at leisure. Overnight: Bangalore

After breakfast, drive south to Mysuru, passing fertile countryside and sugarcane fields. En route, visit Srirangapatna, the island capital of Tipu Sultan, where history unfolds through forts and gardens. Continue to Mysuru and visit the magnificent Mysore Palace, glowing with thousands of lights in the evening—an unforgettable symbol of royal Karnataka. In the evening visit famous Mysore Gardens which are a beautiful blend of symmetry and greenery, best known for the Brindavan Gardens with their musical fountains. They reflect royal elegance, calm surroundings, and timeless charm. Overnight at the hotel. 

After the breakfast, leave the plains behind and ascend into the Western Ghats, where winding roads lead through dense forests and mist-covered valleys. Arrive in Coorg (Kodagu), a land of coffee plantations, rolling hills, and warrior traditions.  Check into the hotel. Later visit Abbey Falls, hidden within spice-laden forests, and enjoy sunset views from Raja’s Seat, overlooking endless green valleys. Overnight at the hotel. 

Explore the spiritual heart of Coorg with a visit to Talacauvery, the sacred source of the River Cauvery, followed by Bhagamandala, where three rivers meet. Later, enjoy a guided coffee and spice plantation walk, learning about cultivation techniques passed down through generations. The rest of the day is free to relax amid birdsong and cool mountain air. Overnight at the hotel. 

After breakfast check out and drive through forest corridors and border villages as you cross into Kerala and arrive in Wayanad, a high-altitude plateau framed by the Western Ghats. Known for its tribal heritage, wildlife corridors, and fertile spice lands, Wayanad offers a slower, quieter rhythm of life. Evening at leisure surrounded by nature. Overnight: Wayanad

Begin the day with a visit to Edakkal Caves, where prehistoric rock engravings reveal early human presence in the region. Continue to Pookode Lake, a serene freshwater lake surrounded by evergreen forests. Visit spice plantations to experience Kerala’s aromatic heritage. Optional visit to Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Overnight at the hotel. 

After breakfast, check out and descend from the hills to the Malabar Coast, where the air turns salty and the landscape opens to the sea. Arrive in Kannur, a town deeply rooted in Kerala’s cultural traditions. Visit St. Angelo (Kannur) Fort, overlooking the Arabian Sea. If visiting between October and May, witness the mesmerizing ritual art form Theyyam, a powerful spiritual performance unique to North Kerala. Overnight: Kannur

Today we travel south along the coast to Kozhikode (Calicut), once one of the world’s most important spice trading ports. Explore Mananchira Square, bustling markets, and historic mosques that reflect Arab trade influences. In the evening, visit Kappad Beach, where Vasco da Gama first landed in 1498. Overnight at the hotel. 

After breakfast set out on a journey inland through coconut groves and forested landscapes to Athirapally, set at the edge of dense rainforest. Visit the spectacular Athirapally Falls, Kerala’s most famous waterfall, cascading dramatically through lush greenery. Walk along nature trails near Vazhachal Falls, rich in birdlife, endemic species. Overnight: Athirapally

After the breakfast check out and start the ascend into the cool highlands of Munnar, where rolling hills are carpeted with emerald tea estates. Once the summer retreat of British planters, Munnar retains its old-world charm, misty mornings, and panoramic viewpoints. Evening at leisure amid mountain serenity.  Overnight at the hotel. 

Today we will explore Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri tahr and vast alpine grasslands. Visit tea museums to understand the region’s colonial plantation history, and enjoy scenic viewpoints.  Overnight at the hotel. 

After early breakfast we will drive through spice-growing regions and forested hills to Thekkady, gateway to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Visit fragrant spice gardens and learn about cardamom, cinnamon, and clove cultivation. Evening cultural program featuring Kathakali or Kalaripayattu martial art. Overnight at the hotel. 

Early morning Boat safari at lake island inside the sanctuary.  After breakfast, descend to the lowlands of Alleppey, Kerala’s iconic backwater destination. Board a traditional houseboat and cruise slowly through palm-lined canals, village waterways, paddy fields, and coconut groves—an intimate glimpse into rural Kerala life. Overnight: Houseboat

After breakfast, disembark and drive to Kochi, a city shaped by centuries of global trade. Explore Fort Kochi, the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and the historic Jewish Quarter, reflecting layers of colonial and mercantile history. Overnight: Kochi

After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom, set along the tranquil Vembanad Lake. Enjoy birdwatching, canoe rides through narrow canals, village walks, or indulgent Ayurvedic wellness therapies in a serene lakeside setting. Overnight at the hotel. 

Travel south through Kerala’s heartland to Kovalam, famed for its crescent-shaped beaches and relaxed coastal charm. Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple (exterior view) in Thiruvananthapuram, one of India’s most revered temples. Overnight: Kovalam / Thiruvananthapuram

Day at leisure to explore beach or Ayurvedic therapies. 

Enjoy a leisurely morning by the sea or indulge in a traditional ayurvedic massage before departure, carrying home memories of misty hills, spice forests, quiet waters, and timeless traditions.
