Itinerary

Upon arrival in Ahmedabad transfer to hotel. P.M. visit Gandhi Ashram: On a quiet peaceful stretch of the Sabarmati river.  Sabarmati Riverfront a waterfront being developed along the banks of Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, India. There is a 10 km walkway for the public with benches to sit and relax. Visit, Sidi Sayed Mosque which is celebrated the world over for its exquisite stone window tracery Hutheesingh Jain Temple, built outside the Delhi Gate in 1850 by a rich Jain merchant. The Temple is the best known out of Ahmedabad's many ornate Jain temples. 

After breakfast drive to Bajana via Patan and Modhera.  Patan is Famous for Patola weaving, Salvi family is one of them who has continued this traditional art and has preserved it even today. After this drive to Modhera Sun Temple, which dates back to early 11th century and was built by King Bhimdev I in 1026 CE? The temple at Modhera is the most important of all sun temples built in the whole Gujarat. After this drive to Bajana and check into the hotel.  Later in the afternoon visit the villages along the Rann of Kutch. You may visit the rural Vadiara and Kharapat Rabaris of Dasada, known for their embroideries, village of the Bharward shepherds and goatherds. Other societies near Dasada are Padhars (primarily fishing people), the Siddis and the semi-nomadic Mirs, Jaths (Muslim herders), Bajanias. Overnight stay at Bajana.

Early morning take a jeep safari to explore Little Rann of Kutch to see the rare species of the ‘Indian wild Ass’. The Little Rann is a depression that during the rainy season is first invaded by salt water and then the Indian Ocean and fresh water of the rains.  After breakfast, check out and drive to Dhordo (White desert) via Bhuj. Arrive and check into the tented city.

03:00 PM to 07:30 PM            Tour to Kala Dungar (Black Hill) – the highest point of Kutch. On the route, visit the handicraft village “Gandhi Nu Gaam”. En route to Kala Dungar (Black Hill), Tea/Coffee and complimentary refreshments will be served.

07:30 PM to 10:00 PM            Enjoy a scrumptious Dinner at the respective Dining Area

09:00 PM to 10:30 PM            Cultural program 

After breakfast, drive to Dwarka, Arrive by late afternoon and check into the hotel. In the evening witness evening aarti at Dwarkadish temple. Overnight at the hotel. 

Dwarka is one of the foremost Chardham four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites, and is one of the SaptaPuri seven most ancient religious cities in the country.  Visit Dwarkadeesh Temple. Take a holy dip in Gomti River. Also visit Nageshwar Jyotirling - One of the 12 Jyotirlingam of Shiva, Gopi Talav, Bet Dwarka (By ferry – payment direct), and on way back do visit Rukmani Temple and Shivrajpur Beach.  Overnight at hotel. 

After breakfast depart to Porbandar (130km/2-4hrs), best known for being the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and Sudama (friend of Lord Krishna). Visit Kirti Mandir – the place where Gandhiji was born and Sudama Temple, the only Sudama Temple in the world. Also visit, Porbandar Chowpatty, Huzoor Palace, Tara Mandir (Nehru Planetarium), Shri Hari Mandir (Sandipani Vidyaniketan) and Gayatri Mandir.  Later proceed to Somnath (110 kms). Arrive and visit Somnath Temple, the first among the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines. Later visit Bhalka Tirth and Somnath Temple. In the evening, watch light and Sound show. Overnight.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Sasangir. Arrive and check into the hotel. Arrive by evening and check into the hotel. Visit Gir Interpretation Zone at Devaliya (Devaliya Safari Park) – a fenced area offering a mini version of Gir’s wildlife experience where you can spot Asiatic lions, leopards, deer, and peacocks. Safari duration is about 30–45 minutes.

Day for Jungle safari’s Proceed for Gir Jungle Safari (permit required) in the core zone of Gir National Park to spot Asiatic lions in their natural habitat.

One safari in the morning and one by afternoon.

After early breakfast check out and drive to Rajkot airport to board flight to onward destination.
